Our client is one of the largest privately-held hospitality organizations in the world and throughout the years has had an ownership interest in and operated over 1000 hotels. Currently this stands at over 500 hotels across four continents.

They are now seeking to hire a Cluster General Manager to to take direct responsibility for two major hotels.

The successful candidate will have a quality driven background as General Manager, with ideally experience managing a similar quality, all suite five star hotel. As part of the leadership duties the Cluster General Manager will be responsible for all facets of the business. The position will report to the Director of Operations & Development Africa.

Key objectives of the role

  • Taking a leadership role driving success at the market leading five star hotel following an extensive renovation in the city as well as a newly opened property
  • Delivering the annual budget through agreed commercial strategies and procedures
  • Hands on operator with strong people management skills driving employee engagepment and delivering the highest levels of customer service and the brand promise
  • Able to optimise revenue and profit opportunities
  • Elevating ADR, REVPAR – post a major renovation

Key skills and qualifications

  • General Manager, with a track record of success working for a major international group
  • Quality driven international experience in a major city
  • Success in an upscale hotel with significant suite inventory
  • Capable of building a team to deliver success in a five-star hotel

General Manager, Paris – Position Filled

Our client owns, manages or asset manages over prime hotel real estate with over 3,500 bedrooms across the UK and Europe.

They have recently acquired a boutique hotel in the centre of Paris and are looking to hire a General Manager with a passion for detail who can deliver the hotel at its very best, day in, day out, without exception.

The successful candidate will need to be a strong leader who will direct the team from the front and drive forward the entire hotel team.

 Key Requirements

  • An existing Hotel Manager or General Manager
  • International experience, particularly within the French hotel market
  • Proven leadership skills involving the ability to manage, develop and motivate a departmental team to achieve their objectives.
  • A positive and motivated hands-on approach
  • Fluent in French and English

General Manager, Kuwait – Position Filled

Our client is private owner and operator with a diverse portfolio of businesses.

This organisation owns and operates one of the most respected luxury hotels in the country of Kuwait and now has an opportunity for an international hotelier to continue the growth of this luxury hotel. During the pandemic the hotel managed to stand strong and delivered outstanding results by gaining significantly within the market share. The General Manager would continue to promote this growth and in turn make it profitable for the owners.

Reporting to the CEO of the hotel division, candidates should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • International profile: you are likely to have worked across Europe and the Middle East with a demonstrable success working for well-respected international 5 star hotels
  • Success leading a 5-star hotel in a major gateway city in the GCC as Hotel Manager, Resident Manager or General Manager
  • P&L experience – either as a Resident Manager reporting to a cluster or as a General Manager
  • Able to demonstrate moving the quality and guest service dial in a luxury hotel
  • Track record operating successfully in well respected 5 star hotels – the client is specifically seeking candidates with a combination of international hotel group and smaller luxury groups
  • A hospitality-related degree or diploma, such as restaurant and hotel management
  • Outstanding communication skills with fluency in English, Arabic is an asset but not a must.
