We have a fantastic opportunity for a strong leader to be General Manager of a newly constructed hotel in a prominent location within walking distance of Dublin City Centre, North Docklands and East Point Business Park. The hotel once completed will form part of mixed-use development scheme which will also include office space and a café.

We are seeking a well-rounded, entrepreneurial individual to drive the commercial and strategic agenda of this highly anticipated hotel opening. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a passionate General Manager who has the skill set and experience to focus on establishing the property within the marketplace. The successful candidate will have strong business and commercial acumen with a genuine passion for exemplary and outstanding service and in turn drive the business forward and effectively lead an energetic and standards-driven team.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • An experienced General Manager with lifestyle and on-trend hotels.
  • A team-focused business leader who is able to support, guide, lead, coach and develop the team whilst continuously raising-the-bar.
  • A GM with both rooms and F&B experience. Ability to drive the restaurant revenue, benefitting from the high-street footfall in a busy city-centre location and captive in-house guests.
  • Proven record of recruiting hiring and retaining talent (to a team of 30-45 employees)
  • P&L responsibility
  • Current or earlier experience working in branded or soft branded properties
  • Fluent in English
  • Proven record setting and reviewing KPI’s, budgets and forecasts and ability to challenge performance
  • Strong leader able to deliver agreed strategy and improvements across the business
  • Initiative-taker, capable of handling multi-faceted projects whilst working under pressure
  • Experience with Capex projects
  • Pre -opening experience either as a GM or Head of department will be an added advantage.
  • Earlier career experience working in a city-centre location
  • Previous experience working with international hotel brands

Director of Sales & Marketing – Dusseldorf

We have a great opportunity for a Director of Sales & Marketing to work for our client at a hotel situated close to the city centre of Dusseldorf.

This individual will be responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

The main purpose of the role is to proactively position and market the property; manage the marketing budget to enable development of hotel specific campaigns, promotions, collateral, etc. to drive revenue and meet business objectives. Working closely with the brand and revenue management team  to develop and implement strategies to maximize Revpar and grow market share in a profitable way and grow market share as measured by STR.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to perform critical analysis
  • Ability to manage extensive amounts of information and provide constructive feedback/direction
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing, negotiating and sales procedures associated with the hotel industry
  • Excellent written skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communications
  • Fluency in German
  • Ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
  • Ability to delegate, manage and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives
  • Ability to effectively deal with department heads, customers and team members, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints
  • Ability to effectively lead team of professionals
