The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire hotel teams to deliver outstanding guest service and exceptional operational standards
  • Drive profitability through efficient staffing, cost control, and strategic upselling initiatives
  • Champion employee engagement through effective leadership, training, and team development
  • Collaborate with the operating company to deliver the annual budget and strategic commercial goals

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Diploma in Hotel or Business Administration (recognized Hotel School)
  • Proven General Management experience in an internationally branded hotel
  • Fluent spoken and written English

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration or related field
  • Experience managing a branded property
  • Conversational Dutch
  • Experience working both in the Netherlands and abroad
  • Familiarity with MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) business

Our client is seeking a visionary Director of Marketing to lead the strategic marketing, communications, and brand direction across their prestigious portfolio of current and future luxury properties.

This is a rare opportunity to shape and elevate a high-end hospitality brand with global ambitions. In this dynamic executive leadership role, you will define and execute the overarching marketing strategy — from digital campaigns and PR to guest engagement and brand storytelling — ensuring strong brand visibility, deeper guest loyalty, increased direct bookings, and measurable business growth.

You’ll oversee a global marketing team based in Malta and Thailand, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies. As a key member of the executive team, your creative vision, data-driven mindset, and luxury-sector insight will drive brand growth in a competitive market.

The ideal candidate should be strategic, creative and analytical with a proven track record in the luxury hospitality, lifestyle, or related sectors. They will thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution.

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a marketing leadership role, ideally within hospitality, luxury, FMCG, or lifestyle sectors
  • Proven experience leading go-to-market strategies and delivering measurable commercial
  • Strong business acumen with analytical skills and a data-driven approach to marketing decision- making
  • Expertise in CRM tools, SEO/SEM, (social media) marketing, and digital analytics
  • Excellent knowledge of digital analytics with the ability to read, report and flag performance issues against KPIs
  • Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics, branding, and content quality
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present strategies and concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders.
