Situated in the beautiful resort of Nice, our client has a vacancy for a Director of Revenue to join their commercial leadership team to drive the hotel revenue to the next level.
As Director of Revenue, you’ll be at the heart of our client’s business strategy—analysing market trends, city-wide events, and business forecasts to optimize both group and transient demand. You’ll supply critical insights that influence key decisions on pricing, availability, and profitability.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, including direct management of the on-property reservations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage group and transient business thresholds to improve demand and availability forecasting
- Provide real-time analysis of short-term decisions and their impact on occupancy, ADR, and room profitability
- Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis to inform pricing and distribution strategies
- Evaluate local events and market conditions to capitalize on revenue opportunities
- Lead and inspire the reservations team, ensuring smooth operations and service excellence.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Ideally you will have 5+ years progressive work-related experience in financial/strategic planning, revenue management, pricing with proficiencies in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes, preferably in the hotel industry or similar environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of revenue management principles, effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimisation and selling strategies
- Structured, accurate, analytic and professional in your work
- Thrive on a dynamic, high-paced environment and can keep your head up even during busy periods
- Takes responsibility for own tasks
- Have a proactive, can-do attitude and get work done, also outside office hours
- Resilient and motivated – Self organised, working well under time constraints while balancing concurrent tasks and priorities
- Excellent analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching
