Director of Revenue – South of France

Situated in the beautiful resort of Nice, our client has a vacancy for a Director of Revenue to join their commercial leadership team to drive the hotel revenue to the next level.

As Director of Revenue, you’ll be at the heart of our client’s business strategy—analysing market trends, city-wide events, and business forecasts to optimize both group and transient demand. You’ll supply critical insights that influence key decisions on pricing, availability, and profitability.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, including direct management of the on-property reservations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage group and transient business thresholds to improve demand and availability forecasting
  • Provide real-time analysis of short-term decisions and their impact on occupancy, ADR, and room profitability
  • Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis to inform pricing and distribution strategies
  • Evaluate local events and market conditions to capitalize on revenue opportunities
  • Lead and inspire the reservations team, ensuring smooth operations and service excellence.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Ideally you will have 5+ years progressive work-related experience in financial/strategic planning, revenue management, pricing with proficiencies in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes, preferably in the hotel industry or similar environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of revenue management principles, effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimisation and selling strategies
  • Structured, accurate, analytic and professional in your work
  • Thrive on a dynamic, high-paced environment and can keep your head up even during busy periods
  • Takes responsibility for own tasks
  • Have a proactive, can-do attitude and get work done, also outside office hours
  • Resilient and motivated – Self organised, working well under time constraints while balancing concurrent tasks and priorities
  • Excellent analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching

We are currently looking for a General Manager for an internationally branded hotel which is located at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

As General Manager, this individual will be responsible for delivering the annual budget through agreed commercial strategies. Candidates should have successful experience in managing all the key business functions required of a GM, including operations, finance, sales, revenue and e-commerce – all in an upscale/luxury branded environment.  A hands-on operator with strong people management skills driving employee engagement and delivering the highest levels of customer service.

Candidate Requirements

  • A highly experienced General Manager with internationally branded hotel groups, minimum 3 years’ experience as General Manager in a medium or large hotel
  • Previous career experience working in a branded city centre or airport property
  • A strong understanding of sales and marketing, revenue and e-commerce
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Proven leadership skills involving the ability to manage, develop and motivate a strong executive team to achieve their objectives
  • A positive and motivated hands-on approach
  • Fluent English and French speaker
  • Experience in positively managing a unionized workforce
  • Proven track record in client negotiations and account strategizing
  • Degree qualification – not essential but desirable

This role will take full responsibility for driving performance and ensuring the operating potential of hotel assets is maximised.  The successful candidate will possess hands-on and successful experience in managing all the key business functions required of a GM, including operations, finance, sales, revenue and e-commerce. Key Skills & Qualifications

  • A highly experienced Cluster Manager (or Area GM) with internationally branded hotel groups
  • Previous career experience working in the Paris Market
  • Experience driving financial/commercial performance across a portfolio of hotels
  • P&L responsibility for cluster/region or group of hotels
  • Current or previous experience working in France
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Proven track record setting and reviewing KPI’s, budgets and forecasts and ability to challenge performance
  • Strong leader able to deliver agreed strategy and improvements across the business
  • Self-starter, capable of handling multi-faceted projects whilst working under pressure
  • Experience with CapEx projects
